The Challenge:

• To define a design for a large living room/great room area within a newly built home, while taking into consideration the lifestyle and influences of adjacent areas. 

Before:

Key Design Features:

• Custom designed and manufactured upholstered furniture and drapery
• Works by Canadian artists including a one of a kind, commissioned painting
• Additional key furnishing pieces and lighting, as well as exquisite accessories

The Solution:

• Utilize colours found within the incredible Persian carpet acquired by the client
• Design and build custom, oversized upholstered furniture to compliment the carpet and scale of the space
• Source additional furnishings, art, accessories and lighting from various Canadian and US vendors
• Commission a one of a kind painting as the "wild card" feature in the room
• Add custom paneling to walls flagging the fireplace to add interest and complete the otherwise bland niche
